About the Role

DS Refrigeration is a well-established local refrigeration and cooling solutions provider based in Loughgall, serving clients across Northern Ireland. We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Service Manager to lead our service team on a part-time basis (20–25 hours per week — flexible days/hours for the right candidate).

Your practical industry experience is what matters most to us. This is a hands-on leadership role where your knowledge and reliability will make a real difference to our daily operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and support our team of service engineers and apprentices
• Co-ordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, and emergency callouts across Northern Ireland
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to engineers on-site or over the phone
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; resolve queries and ensure service standards are met
• Monitor work quality, response times, and health & safety compliance
• Manage parts stock, ordering, and job costing; assist with quotes, invoicing, and contract renewals
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation
• F-Gas certification is optional — not required, but may be used if held

Requirements

Essential:

• Proven practical experience working within the refrigeration industry — service, maintenance, or supervisory background
• Strong working knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems (cold rooms, display cases, racks, etc.)
• Experience managing schedules, teams, or dealing directly with customers
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Commitment to safe working practices

Desirable (NOT required):

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• F-Gas Certification
• Previous management experience
